When a UPS battery needs replacing
UPS batteries are the part that wears out first. Sealed lead-acid batteries typically last three to five years, less in a hot room, and they degrade quietly long before they fail outright. The warning signs are lost runtime, a battery fault or low-battery alarm, or simply age. Do not wait for the bank to fail during an outage, because by then it is already too late. If your batteries are past three years or your runtime has dropped, it is time to have them checked.
We test before we replace
This is where most suppliers guess and we do not. Using battery impedance testing, we measure the true health of every battery in the string, so we can tell you exactly which cells are failing and which are still good. That means you replace what genuinely needs replacing, not the whole bank on a hunch, and you get an honest, measured picture of your backup rather than a sales pitch. Very few suppliers in KZN offer proper impedance testing. We do.
