Discontinued does not mean finished
Schneider has discontinued the Galaxy 5000 and now points buyers to the newer Galaxy VS range. That worries a lot of owners, but it should not. These units were built to run for many years, parts are still available, and a Galaxy 5000 that is properly maintained has plenty of service life left. Do not let anyone push you into scrapping a unit that can be repaired for a fraction of the replacement cost. We will tell you straight whether yours is worth keeping or genuinely at end of life.

Battery replacement
The batteries are the part of a Galaxy that wears out first. Sealed lead-acid batteries typically last three to five years depending on the environment, and a UPS with tired batteries gives you almost no real runtime when you need it most. We test battery health with impedance testing, tell you honestly where your bank stands, and replace it with the correct cells when the time comes, returning your full runtime.
